The Level 3 Award in Wines and Spirits builds on knowledge learned at Level 2. 

All students must have successfully completed Level 2 before enrolling in Level 3.

This qualification is intended to provide core knowledge of the wide range of wines and spirits from around the world, with in-depth study over 4 intensive days. Study packs are delivered once enrolments are closed so students can familiarise themselves with the materials. This course requires at least 56 hours of self study once the course has started. 

The 2.5 hour final exam comprises 60 multiple choice questions, 4 short answer questions and a blind tasting of two wines.

- Italy

Day Two
- Bordeaux and South West France
- Burgundy and Alsace
- Loire, Rhône and Southern France

Day Three
- Sparkling Wines
- Introduction to the New World and North America
- South America and South Africa
- Australia and New Zealand

Day Four
- Spain and Portugal
- Fortified Wines
- Spirits

Day Five
- Examination  

NOTE: Students must attend all four days to be eligible to sit the exam.
